Complications

The chance of complications is very small. Possible, though rare complications include:

• Damage to the womb.
• Slight allergic reactions such a itching or a rash.
• Infection. In order to prevent infection you will receive a prescription for antibiotics.
  Severe pain or strong bleeding
• Despite taking great care, the treatment may not be successful especially in the case of a very early pregnancy. The treatment will than have to be repeated. Therefore it is of utmost importance you come back for a check up after the treatment.
• You may also be subject to emotional mood swings for a few days, possibly even several weeks. This is due to hormonal changes in the body resulting the treatment.
